Beetroot kuzhambu

   Ingredients

 oil
1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp split uradhal
1 tsp ginger garlic paste    or 3 garlic and 2 inch ginger crushed
curry leaves
10  shallot / 1 medium size onion
1 tomato , crushed from mixer
1 beetroot - cut it into medium size
2 tsp - thick tamarind paste.
1 tsp - coriander powder
1/2 tsp - chili powder
1/4 tsp - turmeric 
2 tsp - dhal  (optional, it's for thickening the kuzhambu)
3 tsp coriander leaves

Preparation

Take a cooker, add oil, mustard, cumin, ginger, garlic, curry leaves, onion, tomato, beetroot, coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric, and salt, and combine everything together. Next, add water and the dhal, cover the pan, set the whistles, and wait for the dhal and beetroot to be cooked. Lastly, add the coriander leaves.
