Cowpeas kuzhambu

 Ingredients



1/2 cup cowpeas , Don't overcook it; boil it for one whistle only.
1 tsp - salt

oil
1/2 tsp mustard
curry leaves
10 garlic pods
5 shallot
1/2 tomato
tamarind water  

brinjal - (optional)

For Roasting and Grinding


1 spring curry leaves
5 -Garlic pods
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp pepper
20 small onion
3 dry chili
1/4 tomato
2 tbsp - coconut

Preparation

Take a pan, roast each item from the "For Roasting and Grinding" list individually, and then let them cool. Take a mixer, combine all the ingredients, and create a smooth paste. Set the paste aside.

Take a pan and add the oil, mustard, curry leaves, garlic, shallot, tomato, ground masala, tamarind, and salt. Then, add the appropriate amount of water. 
Close the lid and cook for 15 minutes, then add the cooked cowpeas and cook for another 2 minutes.



Note: 
Bitter guard kuzhambu can be prepared in the same way.
Instead of adding the cowpeas, bitter guard should be fried and added.

2. Konda kadalai can be made in the same way. It needs to be cooked for seven whistles.
 it can be added instead of adding the cowpeas.
