Ingredients
1 cup- Basmati rice (Soak it for 30 min before starting the Briyani)
Briyani spices- 1 cardamom, 2 cloves, 1 inch cinnamon, 1/2 tsp Sajeera, 1 piece of star anise
2 cups of water
pudina and coriander leaves in a Small quantity
For Roasting
2 medium size onion, cut it lengthwise
2 Nos chilli, split it
1 tomato small , cut it into small size
For Marinating
1/4 kg Prawn,cleaned
10 medium size garlic, crushed
1 inch ginger, crushed
coriander and pudina- each of them handful, cut it small size
2.5 tsp Briyani masala
pinch of turmeric
1 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp curd
1 tsp each groundnut oil , coconut oil , ghee
1/2 size lemon
Preparation
Take bowl add all items from the Marinate list
Take cooker and add oil and onion, fry it till it gets roasted and take half of them out and keep the roasted onion aside. Afterwards add green chili and tomato ,fry it till it gets smashed and transfer it into the bowl and mix them well, and keep it aside for 1 hour.
Take cooking Pot, add water and briyani spices and wait for it's getting boiled. Add rice and wait for 4-5 minutes for being cooked (half cooked)
Take cooker, add oil and add the marinated prawn, add also the half cooked rice along with water ,add the roasted onion,lemon, pudina and coriander leaves and lock the cooker and put whistle , keep the flame in the sim and wait for 9 minutes then switch off the flame
Wait for the pressure to be released, mix the rice and close the lid of the cooker.
