Ithalappam

   Ingredients 


1.5 cup : seeraka samba rice - soak for 3 hrs
1/4 tsp cumin
3 tbsp - cooked rice
coconut milk - 1, 2 milk 


Preparation

First, make a runny batter out of the basmati rice, coconut milk, cooked rice, jeera, and salt (consistency little more thick than neer dosa). 

Switch on the steamer Place a plate in the steamer then add some ghee and some batter. 
Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes. 
1. Open the lid, add a teaspoon of ghee, and then add another spatulaful of batter .
2. Close the lid and cook for 3-4 minutes. 

Repeat steps 1 and 2 to create 5-6 layers.

Cook for about 15 minutes, or until done, with the lid on. Serve it hot with your preferred curry after cutting it into the appropriate shape.
